Applying a SimpleHelp Support Debug Setting

If you have been provided with a debug file then you can apply it by saving it to the following directory under the name debug.txt. Please note if your operating system hides extensions you may not need to add '.txt' on the end as this may rename the actual file to 'debug.txt.txt'.

Applying a debug file to the Technician Client:

  • Windows: %APPDATA%\JWrapper-SimpleHelp Technician\
  • Linux: (user home dir)/.JWrapper/JWrapper-SimpleHelp Technician/
  • macOS: (user home dir)/Library/Application Support/JWrapper-SimpleHelp Technician/

Applying a debug file to the Customer Client:

  • Windows: %APPDATA%\JWrapper-Remote Support\
  • Linux: (user home dir)/.JWrapper/JWrapper-Remote Support/
  • macOS: (user home dir)/Library/Application Support/JWrapper-Remote Support/

Applying a debug file to Remote Access Service or Sessions:

  • Windows XP: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\JWrapper-Remote Access\
  • Windows Vista or Later: %APPDATA%\JWrapper-Remote Access\
  • Linux: (user home dir)/.JWrapper/JWrapper-Remote Access/
  • macOS: (user home dir)/Library/Application Support/JWrapper-Remote Access/
